Wichita Delegation Arrives Too Late

The delegation from Wichita, Kansas, has arrived in New York City too late to participate in the conference on religious tolerance hosted by the King of Saudi Arabia at the United Nations. It is unfortunate that Mark Holick, Pastor of the Spirit One Christian Center in Wichita, will be unable to share his unique brand of religious tolerance with conference delegates.

No stranger to controversy, Pastor Holick has completely misread the Establishment Clause of the United States Constitution, and has been engaged in a struggle with the IRS for some time now regarding Spirit One’s tax-exempt status. That status, conveyed under s.501(c)(3) of the tax code, can be jeopardized if churches participate in activities on behalf of or in opposition to any particular political candidate. A Curch Without Walls or...Common Sense

Holick, apparently, is undaunted, if the sign outside Spirit One is any indication. The sign reads: “America We Have A Muslim President. This Is A Sin Against The Lord.”

It is a shame indeed that Holick and other Wichita delegates to the UN conference missed the Greyhound bus to New York. He surely would have found a sympathetic ear in King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, where special police enforce strict laws forbidding the public practice of any religion other than puritanical Wahhabi Islam. One can only imagine the ride in the elevator with those two delegations…
